Creswell Coffee takes off-grid coffee trailer for a spin

For the past seven months, a team of Creswell Coffee friends and local business owners have been slowly transforming an old horse trailer into a mobile coffee cart powered by solar and propane.
Creswell Coffee owner Seth Clark said the objective was to build a small trailer that the Creswell Coffee crew could easily transport to almost any event. Last week, Clark and Creswell Coffee employee Tasha Ries gave the trailer a test run at Holt Elementary School in Eugene to treat a dozen teachers who were in desperate need of coffee before a mandatory staff meeting.
Clark said they’re specifically looking into fairs, concerts and other large gatherings, though they will also be available for weddings, school functions and other private events. He said that now that the basic operation is up and running, he’s looking into installing a couple of draft lines to offer beer and wine at select events.
Despite the desire for a few more cosmetic embellishments, Clark said they were able to keep up with the demand.
