Lowell boys basketball suffers loss at Triangle Lake

Lowell fell to 2-2 in Mountain West League basketball play with a 54-41 setback at Triangle Lake last week. The loss left the Red Devils 8-5 on the season.
Lowell fell behind 9-0 before Bryce Pickett got them on the scoreboard with 4:18 left in the first period.
A three-point hoop by Logan Miles cut the gap to 13-9 at the period break, then Lowell opened the second quarter with seven straight points, five by Zach Smith to take a 16-13 lead with 6:15 left in the half.
A Miles three-pointer gave the Red Devils their final lead of the game at 19-16.
Trailing 28-22 at the half, Lowell cut the lead to 31-30 as Miles opened the second half with a pair of three-point hoops and pair of free throws.
The Lakers rebounded to take a 47-37 lead after three quarters, then went into a delay game into the fourth.
Miles led the Red Devils with 18 points. Smith added nine, Pickett five, Mason Wendt four, Carson Gardner three on a third-quarter trey and Jason Stratis two.
The loss to the Lakers followed a 60-50 win over visiting Siletz Valley.
Pickett led the Red Devils with 16 points. Wendt added 15 (nine in the second quarter and six in the third), Stratis eight, Cole Staggs seven, Miles and Gardner six each and Smith two.
Lowell visits McKenzie Tuesday.
