■ The 25th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration and March

The march begins at 1 p.m. at Springfield Justice Center, 230 4th St., and ends at Springfield High School, 875 7th St.

Student art reception is from 1:30 – 2 p.m., followed by the keynote speakers, who are the top winners of high school speech entries.

A free family event organized by Springfield Alliance for Equity & Respect. Art entry above by Brynna Hendrick. 

■ The Eugene/Springfield NAACP MLK March and Celebration

10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

March begins at Autzen Stadium, 2700 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, and ends at the Hult Center on 7th and Willamette streets in Eugene, followed by a community celebration.
