Lane Community College Students Host “Bags for a Cause” Cornhole Tournament to Support Burrito Brigade

Eugene, OR — Saturday, May 16, 2026 — Students from Lane Community College’s Applied Business Management program are hosting the Bags for a Cause Cornhole Tournament, a
community fundraising event benefiting Burrito Brigade, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Gryff’s Pub – Eugene, located at 2101 Bailey Hill Road, Eugene, OR 97405 (tournament starts at Noon).

The tournament will feature 20 teams, with a $10 nonrefundable entry fee per team. All entry fees will be donated directly to Burrito Brigade, a local nonprofit dedicated to fighting food
insecurity in the Eugene area.

Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to compete in this fun and welcoming tournament. The winning team will receive an Amazon gift card, and attendees can enjoy food, beverages, and a
lively community atmosphere while supporting a worthy cause.
“This event allows us to apply what we’ve learned in our business courses while making a real difference in our community,” said the student organizers. “By partnering with Gryff’s Pub and
supporting Burrito Brigade, we hope to raise funds and awareness while bringing people together for a great time.”

Community members are invited to attend, cheer on the teams, and contribute to Burrito Brigade’s efforts to provide meals to individuals experiencing food insecurity.
