NOTICE OF SPRINGFIELD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY(SEDA) BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Springfield Economic Development Agency (SEDA), Lane County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 (FY26) will be held in-person at the Springfield City Hall in the Library Meeting Room, and remotely via Zoom. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the FY26 Proposed budget.

The meeting date and agenda topics are as follows:  

• Wednesday, May 14, 2025 beginning at 5:30 p.m.: Presentation of the SEDA Budget, Business from the Audience, SEDA Board Deliberation, Motion to Approve the Budget.

The doors at the west and south entrances to City Hall (225 5th Street, Springfield, OR, 97477) will be open to allow people to attend the meeting in person in the Library Meeting Room. The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. For the hearing-impaired, an interpreter can be provided with 48 hours’ notice prior to the meeting. A “Personal PA Receiver” for the hearing impaired is available, as well as an Induction Loop for the benefit of hearing aid users. To arrange for these services, call 541.726.3700.

3. A paper copy will be available for review at Springfield City Hall, Administrative Service Division public counter, beginning May 1, 2025, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Citizen comments are normally scheduled under the agenda item “Business from the Audience” and are limited to three (3) minutes each. Multiple options will be provided for the public to ask questions and comment on the budget. Below are the methods which will be provided. 

1.) Zoom 

Zoom webinar software provides functionality for the organizer to allow attendees to speak during the meeting, provided the attendee is utilizing a computer or tablet with a microphone. During Business from the Audience, the meeting organizer will look for attendees to ‘raise their hand’ and will then unmute the attendees’ microphone, allowing them to provide their name, ward, and submit comment or ask a question.

2.) Written comment provided by e-mail 

Written comment may be received via email sent to [email protected] through 3:00 p.m. the day of the Budget Committee meeting. Written comment will be read by staff into the record if time remains during the business from the audience section of the meeting and will be given a three-minute time limit per submission.Comments received must include the name and ward of the individual providing the comment. 

3.) Written comment provided by regular mail
