CITY OF COTTAGE GROVE
REGARDING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Cottage Grove will hold two public hearings regarding the proposed transfer of surplus real property located at 32257 Cleveland Street, Cottage Grove, Oregon. The hearings will be held in City Hall, located at 400 E. Main Street, Cottage Grove, Oregon, at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th day of February, 2025.
The City proposes to sell Parcel 2 to Michael Kelly or his assigned LLC for $560,000. The City proposes to sell Parcel 3 to Hayden Homes LLC for $9,500 per lot with a total of 153 lots, for a purchase price of $1,453,500. The buyers intends to use each property for residential and multifamily development. The City Council considers it necessary and convenient to sell each parcel of real property because Partition Plat Number 2024-P3226 has been recorded and was divided for the purpose of sale for residential development. Parcels 2 and 3 were previously declared surplus by the City Council, and no longer needed by the City. Funds received for the properties will go towards the payment of outstanding debt. At each hearing, the Council will receive comments on the public’s interest in selling Parcels 2 and 3 on the above sale terms.
