■  One More Time Marching Band performance at the Bethesda Lutheran Church’s Summer Neighborhood Gathering, music at 6 p.m., 4445 Royal Ave., Eugene. Live music, a free hot dog BBQ, and family-friendly activities. RSVP at bethesdalutheranchurch.com.

SATURDAY, AUG. 24

■  South Valley Farmers Market, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 7th and Main streets, Cottage Grove. Local produce, food, live music, arts, and more.

■  Food For Lane County Farm Stand, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., FFLC Youth Farm 705 Flamingo Ave., Springfield, Every Saturday through Oct. 26. Lots of available crops grown by local youth farmers. Card, Cash and SNAP Match accepted for accepted payments.

■  Eugene Health and Wellness Expo Blood Drive, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Lane Events Center Bloodmobile, 796 W. 13th Ave., Eugene. Appointments are required for the best possible donation experience. Photo ID required. For safety no visitors under 16. Eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of fluids prior to donation. More info: donate.bloodworksnw.org. 

■  Hot August Rides Poker Run, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 2422 Main St., Springfield. American Legion Post 83 Riders are hosting a poker run to benefit Veterans. Registration starts at 8 a.m. at the Alibi Tavern. 80 mile run with food & beverage stops. Route ends at Post 83 in Eugene. $40 Includes T-Shirt, lunch & poker card. ■  Mobile Plant Clinic, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Herrick Farms, 88088 Millican Rd , Springfield. OSU Master Food Preservers help with food safety and preserving questions, and help identify weed, disease, and insect problems and suggest research-based management options. 

■  Arts & Crafts Supply Swap, 2-6 p.m., 136 S. 6th St., Springfield. Bring your extra usable supplies to the table, take what you like, and meet other creatives. Bring your own tote or box to bring home supplies. 18+ event.

■  Wine & Feline Fundraiser, 2-6 p.m., Saginaw Vineyards, 80247 Delight Valley Rd, Cottage Grove. 10% of wine sales donated to the Humane Society of Cottage Grove. Live music, accepting pet food donations, info table from HSCG, and kitten tent.

■  Creswell Movies in the Park: “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (PG), 8:30 p.m. at Harry Holt Memorial Park.

■  August Craft Market, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Saginaw Vineyards. Local vendors, food, wine and beer, live music. Monthly market that is family friendly and free entry.

■  Welcome Walks, 12:30 -1:30 p.m., 82940 Hurlburt Ln, Creswell. $5. Free for children under 5. Meet the animals of Welcome Home Animal Sanctuary.

■  Sunday Bingo for the Skatepark, 3:30-5:30 p.m., Coast Fork Brewing and Feed Store. Help raise money for the Cottage Grove Skatepark improvement efforts. Kid & pet friendly.

MONDAY, AUG. 26

■  RAIN Catalysts Creswell Website & Social Media Productive Work Session, 9:30-11 a.m., BlueValley Bistro, 116 Melton Road. Website and social media support for your business. ■  Coffee & Books, 11 a.m.-12 p.m., Creswell Library Reading Area. An informal group where each person spends a few minutes telling about their recent reading.

■  Academic Empowerment Advocacy Training, 4-7:30 p.m., 174 Deadmond Ferry Road, Springfield. AEA are volunteers trained to provide K-8th foster youth with academic support. AEAs work directly with students in schools. Apply to join August Trainings: casa-lane.org

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 28

■  Cottage Grove Mobile Pantry stop, 3:30-5:30 p.m., 7th and Whiteaker, behind Umpqua Bank 2nd and 4th. Will provide a supply of nutritionally balanced groceries. 

■  TransWild Forest Frolic, 5-8 p.m. Mount Pisgah Arboretum. Transponder and Cascadia Wildlands are hosting  music, outdoor workshops, guided hikes, ect. Free.

■  Dodgeball for All, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Bob Keefer Center. Pick up dodgeball for all skill levels. Bring water, sneakers, and $5 (first time is free). Age: 18+ years.

■  Chamber Concerts in the Park, 6:30- 8 p.m., Bohemia Park Amphitheatre. Performer: The Men From S.U.R.F. Vendors from 5:30-8 p.m.

■  Mobile Pantry, 4-6p.m., Bob Keefer Center 200 S. 32nd St., Springfield. Will provide a three- to five-day supply of nutritionally balanced groceries. Sign in with your name, zip code and the number of adults and children in your household. Bring something to carry food. You can visit the pantry if you are receiving other benefits, such as food stamps or WIC.
