PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that on September 14th, 2022 the Cottage Grove City Council initiated the vacation of right of way located at the intersection of S 7th Street and E Fillmore Avenue and more particularly described as 198 square feet of right-of-way located at the southeast corner of the intersection of South 7th Street and East Fillmore Avenue.   The Cottage Grove City Council will hold a public hearing to consider this proposed vacation at [City Hall], located at 400 E Main Street, Cottage Grove, Oregon on December 12th, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of the public hearing will be to hear testimony for or against the vacation of the right of way identified above.  Written objections or remonstrances against the proposed vacation may be submitted to the City Recorder no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 12, 2022, for consideration by the Council.  Oral testimony for or against the vacation may be presented at the public hearing.

CRESWELL PLANNING COMMISSION  PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Creswell Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 5:30pm and City Council will consider a second public hearing scheduled for February 13, 2022, at 7pm at the McCluskey Chambers in order to hear the following: 

Case No. PA-2022-01, a request by the City of Creswell to amend to the Creswell Development Code to reflect updated standards for Parking Lot Lighting. Approval of the proposed amendments would amend City’s Development Code related to parking lot lighting including standards for in Section 3.3 (Parking and Loading). The code amendment will expand and on the allowing lighting section in the Creswell Development Code. 

Planning Commission’s recommendation will determine next steps for the proposed legislative change, including a second required public hearing with the Creswell City Council. The proposal will be reviewed subject to the following sections of the Creswell Development Code: Section 4.1.500 Type IV (Legislative) Review.

Interested persons can offer their respective comments by attending the live webcast public hearing online via YouTube, and/or written comments can be submitted to the Planning Commission through the City Planner, in the following manner:  

1. Personally delivered to the drop box at Creswell City Hall at 13 South 1st Street; 

2. Mailed to Creswell City Hall, P.O. Box 276, Creswell, Oregon 97426;

The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding legislative amendments.  

Failure to raise an issue, in person or by written comment, at the Planning Commission or City Council hearing, or failure to provide statements or evidence related to an issue, precludes reliance on that issue in any later appeal of the decision, which is made after consideration of statements and evidence submitted, including an appeal to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals.
