Greenhill Humane Society and Food for Lane County are distributing pet food and supplies together. More than 3,000 pounds of supplies was donated and dispersed throughout Lane County for community members.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the shelter has seen an increased need to support families with pets. Greenhill is working with Food for Lane Country to distribute the food and supplies to food pantries throughout Lane County where it is needed most.
“The animals need our help more than ever now,” said Greenhill’s Executive Director, Cary Lieberman. “As our community continues to deal with the impacts of COVID-19, we want to ensure that the animals in our shelter and in the community have no gap in care.”
