Harry Earl Beleal

On Feb. 20, 2020, Harry Earl Beleal, 74, of Creswell left this earthly life and headed to his eternal home. Earl, as he was affectionately known by friends and family, was born on Dec. 21, 1945, in Jamestown, N.D., to Harry Sales and Roselena Grace Beleal.

For the past 32 years he made his home in Creswell. Earl loved to tinker with all things mechanical and to tease his church friends and neighbors. He was an active member of the Creswell Church of Christ, where he attended many social gatherings of the Single Seniors group and volunteered many hours at Grove Christian Service Camp. He enjoyed cutting wood and salvaging metal with his great friend Jack Bellamy. Video gaming was a favorite pastime he shared with his good friend Brian Oland.

Downtown businesses were frequented by Earl, who would ride his bicycle to get biscuits and gravy, groceries, or parts for the many projects he was always working on. Earl was a friend to all his neighbors in the S. 2nd St. cul-de-sac, offering to help with neighborhood projects and loaning tools back-and-forth. He was a frequent attender at the cul-de-sac annual bar-be-que. Earl is survived by his sister, Jane, of Sutherlin, and his three children, Christopher, Brian and Yvonne. He was preceded in death by his father Harry and his mother Rose.

Earl’s family wishes to thank Sue Sturgess for helping Earl with his finances for many years, Dick Cook for transporting Jane from Sutherlin to visit Earl, Jack Bellamy for being his sidekick, and Dave Stram for being a good neighbor and friend. A memorial service will be held at a later time. Please contact the Creswell Church of Christ (541-895-3328) for further information.
