Wallace R. Anderson, Sr. was born Nov. 2, 1938, at Sacred Heart in Eugene and passed away at Riverbend on July 3, 2022, at 83. He grew up in Springfi eld and graduated from Springfi eld High School in 1956. He had a few different jobs but settled in a job at Weyerhaeuser where he worked for 30 years ending up in sales until it closed. Then he went to work at Jasper Wood Treating until he retired. Wally enjoyed all things outdoors. Fishing and fl oating the McKenzie River in his drift boat, or deer hunting in Eastern Oregon, or duck and goose hunting in the Willamette Valley, or camping and crabbing at the coast with family. Wally is survived by his wife of 59 years, Thelma Anderson. Four children, Robert, Shelly, Wallace Jr, and Robin. Four grandchildren, Jessica, Caleb, Pilar, and James. And three great-grandchildren, Gunnar, Hayden, and Hudson. Wally’s fi nal wishes were to not have a service.
