Wesley Lynn Anderson, 75, of Cottage Grove, Ore., and Green Valley, Ariz., passed away Jan. 2, 2022. Wes was born Aug. 9, 1946 in Salem, Ore. to parents Roy and Lydia (Schultz) Anderson.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country. He attended the University of Oregon and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree. He married Barbara Ross Aug. 2, 1969 in Eugene, Ore.
Wes worked in human resources for Duco Lam, American Laminators, and Rosboro where he retired. Wes’ hobbies included model A’s, street rods and boats. His passion was playing senior softball where he got to travel to Hawaii, Florida, and played in major tournaments in Reno, Vegas and St. George.
Wes is survived by his wife Barbara of 52 years; son Doug Anderson of South Dakota; three sisters June, Joyce and Mary Lou; and grandchildren Kyla and Alex.
A funeral will be held at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Saturday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. Interment will be at East Drain Cemetery in Cottage Grove.
