Wendy Louise Carlson Jennings died peacefully in her sleep July 26, 2021. She was born Nov. 21, 1958 in Kelso, Wash. to her proud parents, Joe and Louise Carlson.
She graduated from Thurston High School (go Colts), attended George Fox University and graduated from business college in bookkeeping. Throughout her career she worked in private businesses as a bookkeeper.
In the cat aisle of Fred Meyer, Wendy met the love of her life, her husband, Roy Jennings. In addition to their love for each other, they shared a love for cats. They joined two households of cats and together rescued scores of others. “The best cats are the ones that find you!” Grandpa Hannu introduced Wendy to kittens as a very young girl. Cats remained in her heart throughout her life.
She leaves behind her husband, Roy Jennings and their cats; mom, Louise Carlson; sister, Debi Schmidt; niece, Charissa Schmidt; nephew, Matthew Schmidt; aunt, Pattie Reinhart; and extended family and friends. Wendy loyally loved those in her life and they were confident of her love.
There was a celebration of life at the Valley View Cemetery.
