David Wayne Garman, 90, of Coos Bay, Ore. died March 19, 2021. David was born May 21, 1930 to parents Richard and Geneva (Hopper) Garman in Cottage Grove, Ore.
David graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1948. He and his partner owned a gas station, then David went to work as a pit boss/manager in Nevada, Reno, Las Vegas, and Tahoe. David loved sports and was a big San Francisco Giants fan. He enjoyed collecting coins and bowling.
He is survived by his daughter April (Eric) Emge, of Albany, Ore.; daughter Cheryl Smith of Springfield, Ore.; daughter Terri (Chet) Carlisle of Mt. Shasta, Calif.; son Richard Garman of Tahoe, Calif.; daughter Gina (Brian) Kaspar of Minden, Nev.; daughter Kym (Brian) Garman of Redmond, Ore.; sister Evelyn Garman Leathers of North Bend, Ore.; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A private Interment will be held at Bemis Cemetery in London, Ore. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
