Dixie M. Hiestand, age 82 of Springfield, passed away on Jan. 31, 2021. Born in Sedro-Woolley, Wash., to Ruth and Lester Earl Stephens. She married Jack L. Hiestand on Aug. 25, 1956.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1956, where she was a cheerleader for three years and where, as an adult, she worked in the Career and Counseling centers.
Dixie was the mother of six and spent most of her life caring for and raising her family. She loved spending time with the girls at the beach on the annual beach weekend and her monthly Club meeting which consisted of traveling, playing cards, themed parties and just enjoying each other.
Dixie is survived by her three daughters Tammie (Ben) Kramer of Chico, Calif., Cindy (Ed) Martin and Jeannette (Joe) Lamont of Springfield. Two sons Jack Jr. (Robin) and Cody (Laura), both of Springfield. Siblings Pam Shoptaugh and Fred Stephens; well as seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, and four step-great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Roy, husband Jack L. and sister Gail.
