Zella Raney
A funeral service for Zella May Raney, 81, of North Bend, Oregon, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at North Bend Chapel, 2014 McPherson Avenue in North Bend. A public visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 at North Bend Chapel. Private interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Coos Bay.
Zella was born on Aug. 16, 1938 in Weiser, Idaho to Glenn William and Ethella Lois (Ferris) Johns. She passed away on Sept. 30, 2019 in North Bend.
Zella held various jobs throughout her life, but she retired after many happy years working at the North Bend Visitor’s Center.
She is survived by her children, Johnny Carlson, Charlene Raney McGinnis, Deborah Sapp and Racley Vass; adopted children, Randy Brown, Billy Brown and Betty Trujillo; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings Lloyd Johns, Verl Johns, Warren Johns, Ila Quick, Jerry Johns and Sharon LeManquis.She was preceded in death by her parents and adopted daughter, Kim Brown-Case.
