Michael Duane Coop

Michael Duane Coop, 59, of Creswell, Oregon, passed away on Sept. 3, 2019.
He was born on June 18, 1960 in Eugene, Oregon to parents Duane L. and Dorothy Jean (Odom) Coop. Mike graduated from Creswell High School.
He was a self-employed, lifelong logger and trucker, purchasing his first log truck at age 15. Mike was a carpenter, fabricator and welder; he could build anything.
He married Candice Trout on Feb. 14, 2007 in Las Vegas. Mike enjoyed treasure-hunting for antiques, auctions, traveling to the coast and attending truck and car shows.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Candy Coop; son, Dan Coop and wife Sabrina; stepdaughter, Lindsey Roberts and husband Wayne; stepdaughter, Jessica Trout; father, Duane L. Coop; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gail M. Coop in 1990.
A funeral and reception will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept.14 at Eastside Baptist Church in Springfield, with a private burial at Sun Mountain Ranch in Cottage Grove.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
