About The Chronicle

The Chronicle is the oldest, locally owned newspaper in the southern Willamette Valley. Published weekly by Nash Publishing Group, the tabloid newspaper focuses on hyper-local coverage from Cottage Grove to Creswell to Springfield and other local communities. The cross-platform publishing company – which also owns chronicle1909.com and Emerald Valley Magazine – is on the cutting edge of super-serving readers and online viewers with both utilitarian and unique and differentiating content. Noel and Denise Nash are the co-owners, and Noel also is the publisher. Erin Tierney is the executive editor, Cheryl Richard is the sales & marketing director and Andrew von Engel is the creative director. First published on Sept. 30, 1909, The Chronicle is celebrating its 110th birthday this year.
