TUESDAY, MAY 31 9:34 am: Drug paraphernalia, Cottage Grove area

Summary: A person found a clear plastic bag with white crystal-like rocks inside of it in her boyfriend’s backpack. She was very concerned for her kids’ safety due to the accessibility of the backpack in the house, so she brought the baggie to CGPD to be destroyed.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12:43 pm: Warrant service, local market

Summary: Officer arrested a subject on an outstanding Eugene Municipal Court Warrant. The subject’s identification was verified by her Social Security number and physical identifiers. She requested that her bicycle be left at her current residence, which was nearby in Cottage Grove. After her bicycle was left at said address, she was cooperatively transported to the Lane County Jail without incident. A fixed blade knife was lodged for safe keeping at the CGPD. Case closed by arrest.

4:40 pm: Ordinance violation, 400 E. Main St. 

Summary: Person violated Municipal City Code when he was found in possession of firearms while camped on City-owned property, a city park. He was issued a Park Exclusion for 15 days from all City parks.

THURSDAY, JUNE 2 1:32 pm: Theft, 400 E. Main St.

Summary: The reporting party advised that another male took his property and did not return it.

12:09 pm: Violation of restraining order, Cottage Grove area

Summary: Suspect was arrested for Violation Restraining Order, Assault 4, Harassment and Menacing.

5:59 pm: Warrant service, 400 E. Main St.

Summary: Officer responded to the Cottage Grove Municipal Jail to transport an inmate to Lane County Adult Corrections regarding outstanding warrants that were issued out of the Lane County Circuit Court.

FRIDAY, JUNE 3 10:37 am: Fraud, Cottage Grove area

Summary: Officer was dispatched to make contact with a citizen regarding an online fraudulent use of her Wells Fargo account. Forwarded to FBI due to a suspect living in Troy, Ala.

12:58 pm: Criminal mischief, 901 Row River Rd.

Summary:  Unknown suspect(s) had damaged fencing and a barbecue on the west side of the building. Inside the fencing area were batteries, and some were taken. The BBQ was destroyed and metal taken from the suspect(s).

6:09 pm: Menacing, 101 S. 10th St.

Summary: Officer responded to Bohemia Park due to a report of three juveniles threatening people, one armed with a knife. Pending.

6:23 pm: Hit & run, 80 Gateway Blvd.

Summary: Officer was requested to contact an individual via phone regarding a hit and run.

9:25 pm: Criminal mischief, Cottage Grove area

Summary: Officer responded to report of a domestic assault.

SATURDAY, JUNE 4 7:51 pm: Illegal weapons possession, 1140 Hwy. 99

Summary: Officer responded to Szechuan Chinese Restaurant for a trespass in progress.

MONDAY, JUNE 6 8:58 am:

Suicide, Cottage Grove area

Summary: Responded to death investigation.

TUESDAY, JUNE 7 3:30 am: Assist outside agency, Cottage Grove area

Summary: Officer responded to assist South Lane Fire and Rescue with an overdose victim.

1:08 pm: Property found, Row River Rd. and I-5 NB on-ramp

Summary: A citizen turned in a wallet they found. Officer was able to contact one of the Bank Card businesses by phone, which called its client to let them know their wallet was available for pickup at CGPD.
