I have had the pleasure of working with Scott and Jeanne Olson, now former owners of our weekly newspaper. It has been a real pleasure to be allowed to write a weekly article for the newspaper and submit them for publication in The Chronicle.
It is obvious that I had no experience in this endeavor, but the Olsons, with the assistance of Editor Erin Tierney, reviewed and corrected and encouraged me in ”Through the Eyes of the Colonel.”
I am the type of person who likes to have an aim and I just don’t want to vegetate. I need a challenge, hence my little column about our citizens, local observations and anything else that attracted my attention appeared in my column.
Scott gave me ideas and encouragement, and I am certain he got some laughs out of my grammar and spelling, or lack thereof.
They aren’t ready to retire and I am sure they will continue to be active in the community. Barbara joins me in wishing them good luck, good fortune and good health, plus lots of happiness.
