During the mural celebration, guest speaker amd artist, Esteban Camacho Steffensen, is seen with the mural in the background. Funds for the mural came from a grant from the Springfield Rotary Foundation. Steffensen supervised volunteers from the church, A3 High School, and the Rotary Club of Springfield over a three-week process, followed by finishing touches made by the artist. Ebbert United Methodist Church at 532 C Street in Springfield is celebrating 150 years as a congregation in 2018. Two recent events held in conjunction with the celebration were a mural dedication and an historic hayride.
