Letters of Gratitude from the Creswell Christian School

I have been at CCS and 5Cs since I was in the baby room. I love it here because the staff, principal and teachers treat the kids with tender, loving care! I would like to thank Mrs. Lake for being our principal for 41 years. She has done awesome at it!!
Some of the things I like about CCS are the strong relationships this school has with God, that we have chapel, and we are free to pray to God. I would like to thank the school for giving me and my brother a great education. Every day I feel like I come home with something new to tell my family!
I would like to tell Mrs. Lake how much I love her and appreciate what she has done for the school!

Creswell Christian School, a.k.a. CCS, is the only and the best school I have ever gone to. I do not remember how we found CCS but I’m glad that we did. Here I have become a very well educated girl and I have to thank my amazing teachers for that. I’m very happy that my parents have kept me in this school. I know over the years that new schools have started but CCS has always been my favorite school and I love it.

This year, I have had so much fun at CCS. We have the best principal ever. On Mondays we do art. Also, we do Bible Wars. (Bible Wars is a game where the teacher says a verse. Then you have to find it first.) We also do Math, Spelling, English and Handwriting. Thank you CCS for giving me and my brother a great year and education.

I have been at CCS since I was in kindergarten. Mrs. Lake is just the most loving, devoted, tender, affectionate, attentive principal I’ve ever met. Her disposition is just so wonderful. When you walk into the room you can just feel her pleasure.
I love CCS because we can read the Bible and learn about God. My favorite part about CCS is the awesome staff. My wonderful teacher, Mrs. Cornelius, is the best!
Mrs. Debbie Hisey and Mrs. Becky Lake have worked so hard these 46 years. I am so happy that Mrs. Lake gets to retire and spend more time with her family.

I am so thankful for the faith Mrs. Lake and Miss Debby had over 40 years ago to start Creswell Christian School. The time and dedication Mrs. Lake has put into the school and the students here at CCS is truly an inspiration. I have been going here since kindergarten and can honestly say I wouldn’t want to go to any other school. The students here don’t just feel like friends. They feel like family.
I cried a lot the day I found out Mrs. Lake was retiring. She has been such a blessing in my life and I am so glad she will be able to relax and spend time with her family.

CCS is a great school that is run by the best teachers in the world. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. I think the reason CCS has done so well is because the teachers and staff put God first in their lives and that shows through the love they have for all the kids here.

Thank you CCS for giving to the Lord.
I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am so glad you gave.
One by one they have come
As far as the eye could see
Each one somehow touched
By your generosity.
Little things that you have done
Sacrifices made, unnoticed on the earth,
Heaven now proclaims.
One day as you stand before the Lord
He will say look around you my child.
FOR GREAT IS YOUR REWARD!!!

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
–Isaiah 40:31

This passage is the scripture that Creswell Christian School adopted as its school verse. It has always been so fitting, but even more now with Becky’s retirement. The hope and love that Becky has poured into the lives of so many CCS students over the years, has truly planted the seeds that have helped them to soar.
I dare say there is not one family in Creswell that has not been impacted by Creswell Christian School, either directly or indirectly. CCS has always been first and foremost the life’s work and ministry of Becky Lake and Debby Hisey, for the glory of God. As His servants, they have given their love, guidance, time, energy, support and prayers to thousands of families over the years. What a most awesome legacy! I know they can surely hear Him saying, “Well done, good and faithful servants.”
We love you, Mrs. Lake! Have a most blessed retirement!
