Wilson, Dewey, defense earn all-league respect

Creswell middle linebacker Caleb Wilson earned recognition as Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the 2A Central Valley Conference.

CRESWELL – Middle linebacker Caleb Wilson was named 2019 Co-Defensive Player of the Year for the 2A Central Valley Conference and four other Bulldog defensive linemen received recognition when All-League football teams were announced.

On the season Wilson, a junior, made 101 tackles (nine for loss), two sacks, a fumble recovery, an interception and a pass deflection.

As the Bulldogs' anchor on defense, Wilson "had an outstanding season," said coach Scott Worsham. "He's a true middle linebacker if I ever saw one; he filled holes and made some big-time tackles all season. He's been counted...
