SATURDAY, OCT. 26

• Dia de los Muertos/Latin American Day of the Dead celebration, 1 to 3:30 p.m., Springfield Public Library, in lobby just outside of the library, 225 Fifth St., Springfield. Event is free, for all ages.

• National Prescription Drug Take-Back, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Springfield Police and Drug Enforcement Administration co-sponsored event. Bring your pills for disposal to Springfield Justice Center, 230 4th St., Springfield. No liquids, needles or sharps. Pills and patches only. Free and anonymous disposal for unused or expired prescription drugs.

• Yachats, Halloween Walk, 8 a.m. to noon. Registration and start point: Yachats Lions Club on 4th Street (west of Hwy. 101) in Yachats. No Mossbacks carpools to this walk are planned yet.

• Needle Felting: Whimsical Woodland Friends. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tomseth House at Dorris Ranch, 205 Dorris St., Springfield. Ages 14+. Beginners welcome. $22 ID/$26 OD. Register for class #22816. https://apm.activecommunities.com/willamalane.

• Womenspace Domestic Violence fundraiser at Public House, 418 A St., Springfield. A portion of beer sales go to Womenspace.

• It Was a Dark and Stormy Night, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Dark & Stormy, 420 Main St., Springfield. Hosted by Springfield Public Library. Classic horror stories, free showing of Count Dracula (1970) and costume contest with prizes. Free and open to the public.

• Trick-or-Treat at Springfield City Hall, 3:30 to 5 p.m., 225 Fifth St., Springfield.

• Ribbon Cutting/Flu Shot Giveaway, 10 a.m. to noon, Nova Urgent Care-Thurston, 5781 Main St., Springfield. The first 100 visitors will receive a free flu shot and everyone has the opportunity to win a raffle basket.

FRIDAY, NOV. 1

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 6

• Harry & David Tasting Tour & Historic Jacksonville, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Meet in the lobby of Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 W. C St., Springfield. One of the most popular food-related tours in the country. Bakery treat and chocolate included with tour. Stroll around historic Jacksonville and visit the charming shops.
