Lady Dawgs net key volleyball win

Creswell defensive specialist Sarah Lanz collected 35 digs Tuesday against Portland Christian.

It took a five-game battle on the road, but the Creswell Lady Bulldogs got the job done, defeating defending 2A state champion Portland Christian, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 25-27, 15-10 in an important nonleague volleyball match on Tuesday, Sept. 3.Portland Christian was ranked No. 2 in 2A, so the win should have a lasting positive effect on Creswell’s state RPI this season.“This was an important game for us,” said Creswell Head Coach Anna Baltrusch.Breanna Dapron paced the Lady Dawgs with 22 kills.
