'One bad inning' stands between Bulldogs and victory

A 12-6 loss to host Harrisburg on April 16 and a 14-6 loss to visiting Santiam Christian on April 18 left the Creswell Bulldogs 0-4 after the second week of baseball league play.

At Harrisburg, the Bulldogs scored four in the top of the first inning against the then 12th-ranked Eagles; but that was overshadowed by “a couple of mental errors and some pitching letdowns in the first inning” said Head Coach Tyler Main, that allowed Harrisburg to score all of its runs.

“Take out that first inning, and we win that ballgame,” Main said.
