Old Schoohouse lowered

The Old Schoolhouse building took about three hours to drop on Monday, April 22. Next on the list is rebuilding the porch.

There has been lots of news surrounding the Old Schoolhouse and Creswell Heritage Foundation lately.

To briefly recap, in March the Old Schoolhouse was lifted after work had been delayed a week due to the snowstorm.

In the following week, the stump on the northwest corner was ground out. "That invading stump had caused the building to warp gradually over the year, CHF President Verlean McCoy said in a release. "Lesson learned: Be careful where you plant a tree. It could be a problem in 100 years."
