Problems, some fun snowballs out of winter storm

Late Sunday and Monday, Creswell got hammered with an estimated 18 inches of snow, leaving many without power, cell service and without open stores to buy supplies.

The storm on Feb. 24 and 25 covered much of Lane County, creating terrible driving conditions, downed wires and busted tree limbs. Creswell received about four more inches than Cottage Grove and certain parts of Eugene, but across the county, schools and colleges closed and parts of Interstate 5 and highways 126 and 58 closed down.
