Pleasant Hill wrestlers host King of the Hill wrestling tournament

Skyler Peters defeated a Waldport opponent.

Titus Rice (152-pounds) and Asher Ruchti (160-pounds) won their divisions to spark Pleasant Hill Saturday in the King of the Hill wrestling tournament contested on the Billie mats.

P-Hill finished sixth in the overall standings with 107 and just trailed Sheldon 111, Central Linn 110 and Philomath 108.

Rice pinned his way to the 152-pound title, nailing his opponents in 3:34, 3:10 and 3:09.

Ruchti also won his three matches by pins in 3:03, 1:27 and 2:45.

Charles Conrad gave the Billies two finalists at 152-pounds, winning by a 5:37 pin and 18-6 major decision before dropping the championshi...
