Lane County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol wants to warn boaters of an obstruction on the McKenzie River. Marine deputies discovered a large alder tree in the water approximately 300 feet downstream from the Forest Glen Boat Ramp. The tree spans almost the entire width of the river, creating a hazard for boaters.

Boaters are asked to avoid the area. The river may currently be passable if boaters stay extreme river left, however, this could change without warning. The main channel flows over the tree (and may appear passable), but will take boaters directly into two other trees downstr...
