Bulldogs find plenty to appreciate in abbreviated football season
CRESWELL – Connor Hanson inadvertently tried using a basketball move during a third-down run to keep a drive alive Friday night. Creswell’s sophomore quarterback, who also plays basketball, nearly fumbled, and as he tried to regain control with his right hand, he brought the ball all the way around his back to his left hand.

Tyler & Tyler: Senior duo saving their best for last
Fourth-year varsity seniors Tyler Atwood and Tyler Nicol have been two of Creswell’s football leaders through thick and thin ever since they joined the program. With their careers winding down, it was only fitting to see them shine their brightest as the Bulldogs rallied for a 25-14 home victory Friday night, April 2 over Lowell.

Painful loss for Bulldogs; Dapron injures knee
CRESWELL -- Injuries. They happen. Every team deals with them. They’re part of the game. The players on the Creswell volleyball team have surely heard it all before. But that didn’t make it any easier on Saturday, March 27 against Santiam Christian when senior star Breanna Dapron suffered a serious knee injury.

ONE VICTORY TOO FEW: Despite title game loss, Few family proud of son Mark, team
CRESWELL – They were having a watch-party Monday night at Norm at Barbara Few’s house for the NCAA Championship Game. It wasn’t much of a party. There was little to cheer for. Baylor cruised to an 86-70 victory over Gonzaga, which is coached by the Fews’ son, Mark.

High-scoring, late-game rally falls short for Hanson, Bulldogs
Thrilling finishes are becoming a commonplace occurrence for the Creswell High football team. Two weeks ago, the Bulldogs won in overtime. This past Friday night, they were driving for the potential game-winning score but came up short, as host Oakland escaped with a 26-20 victory.

Three weeks into the regular season – in this most irregular of any season – Creswell’s young football team has two shutouts, the latest coming Friday night at Linn County as sophomore quarterback Connor Hanson darted 17 yards for a touchdown in overtime, lifting the Bulldogs to a 6-0 victory.
