Dennis James Townsend, 65, of Creswell, Oregon passed away July 11, 2018.
Dennis was born June 1, 1953, in Cottage Grove to Clement and Lidean (Adamson) Townsend.
He graduated from Cottage Grove High School. He was a diesel mechanic, who did asphalt paving and worked on heavy equipment. He enjoyed car racing and wood working, and was a member of the Creswell Church of Christ.
Dennis married Diana Bonilla on July 19, 1994, in the Church of Christ in Cottage Grove. He is survived by his wife Diana Townsend, Creswell; son Brian (Debra) Spokane, Wash.; son Sandivar (Ji), Huntington Beach, Calif.; daughter Jane (Spencer), Vancouver, Wash.; daughter Kristel, Cottage Grove; daughter Roxanne, Creswell; son Jeremy (Marci), Cottage Grove; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother Douglas Townsend.
A memorial and potluck reception will be held at noon on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at Creswell Church of Christ.
