School Board to hire third party investigator

Creswell School Board was called together in executive session on Friday, July 20 at 6 p.m. to address complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or agent.
After open session reconveined, Director Natalie Smathers made the motion to hire a third-party investigator to explore the complaint.
The investigator will be selected by Chair Tim Rogers. Risdal seconded the motion; the motion passed unanimously.
Board Director Mike Anderson also made the motion to accept the complaint to board records. Director Lacey Risdal seconded the motion; the motion passed unanimously.
An executive, or ”closed,” session is closed to the public, but the media is allowed to attend under most circumstances.
Though allowed, media does not report on executive sessions, except to state the general subject of the session and the action made outside of executive session.
The meeting adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
