Truman’s Truths – Ponderings from the desk of a 9-year-old

Editor’s note: Truman Derminer is The Chronicle’s newest, and possibly youngest ever column writer! This spunky, smart 9-year-old from Creswell will keep us up-to-date with the goings-ons for kiddos in town.
I loved the program the Creswell Library Summer Reading Program had this week! There were seven different stations with instruments to actually play. Before that a member read to us the Percussionist gets Dressed. My favorite activity was the trombone. It was put on by the Eugene Symphony. They had the cello, the violin, logs of percussion, the trombone, the trumpet, the clarinet and the flute. The next event with the summer reading program is on June, 27. It is the Oregon Rocks put on by the UOFA Museum of Natural and Cultural History from 11 a.m. to noon at the Creswell Community Center.
