Mary Chae Last

Mary Chae Last, 65, of Eugene passed away at her home on April 15, 2018 from stomach and pancreatic cancer.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1952 in Daegu, South Korea and adopted by Harry and Bertha Holt, founders of Holt International in Eugene. Mary grew up in Creswell with 13 siblings. She attended Northwest Christian College where she earned a B.A. in Health Care Administration; she worked in that field for most of her life.
Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Last; her sons, David and Nathaniel Last stepdaughters Gina Brown and Ruby Dewet; and six grandchildren: Jade, Aki, Wesley, Clinton II, Mya and Charlene.
Surviving siblings are sisters Molly Holt, Barbara Chambers, Suzanne Peterson, Linda Pack, Christine (Jim) Russell, Helen (Wade) Stampe, Betty (Lloyd) Blankenship; and brother Robert (Brenda) Holt; along with many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by a son, Emmanuel Last; her parents; sister Wanda; and brothers Stewart, Joe, Nat and Paul.
There will be a memorial service later this summer. Contributions may be sent to Holt International at 250 Country Club Road, Eugene, OR 97401.
