Jerold ‘Jerry’ Lee Graves March 20, 1955 – July 22, 2022

Graves passed away on July 22, 2022 in Springfield, Ore., after a lengthy illness. He was born March 20, 1955 in Eureka, Calif., to Wanda Jo Barnes and Harold Edward Graves.

Jerry had a knack for anything mechanical, passing on his love of tinkering and fixing things to his son J.J. and nephew Mike Graves. Jerry was a truck driver who traveled all over the U.S. He settled down in Georgia for a few years and came home with a Southern drawl that never quite went away.

After becoming a single parent, Jerry gave up life on the road to raise his children, J.J. and Angelina, always trying to make their lives better. He loved them with all of his big heart!

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Celesta Graves, and two siblings. Jerry is survived by his son J.J. and J.J.’s wife, Chantay Graves; daughters Angelina Graves and Jenny Graves; and his granddaughter Addalynn, who he just adored being “Papa” to.

Jerry is also survived by his twin brother, Harold Graves – with whom he shared an immeasurable bond, as well as his brother Carl Person, and sisters Mary Person, Dr. Cheryl Person and Dianna Graves.

Arrangements are in the care of Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Crematorium and Cemetery in Eugene, Ore. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
