Donald Gilgan
Donald G. Gilgan, 83 of Coburg, Ore., started his journey to heaven June 1, 2022. Don’s final days were spent surrounded by his loving wife and his two loving sons and daughter-in-law. Don was born in Missoula, Mont., son of Mary and Don F. Gilgan, brother of Marie Warden. Don attended Hellgate High School where he excelled in basketball and other sports. He was also a proud member of the Army National Guard. He moved his family to Oregon in 1971 to further his career in the timber industry, where he spent his entire career. Don retired in 2001 so that he could enjoy time with his family doing the things that they enjoyed. Don was an avid bowler, fisherman and loved the game of golf.
Don is survived by his loving wife Donna of 61 years, his two sons Lance and Curtis; his daughter-in-law Kelly Gilgan; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lukkes, Lee, Kaleb, Allesondra, Anthony, and Michael; as well as five great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Coburg Grange Hall, June 26 at 1 p.m.
