Nancy Lynn Trautman: Deceased: April 26, 2022

Nancy Lynn Trautman passed away on April 26 after a decade-long battle with cancer. She passed at home surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years Herb Trautman and her four children Matthew Trautman, Andrew Trautman, Beth Atkerson and Kimberly Stone. She is also survived by her son and daughters in love Kathy Trautman, Leticia Trautman, Jason Atkerson and Kristan Stone; as well as her 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Nancy is also survived by her mother Clara Gumble of Avon Lake, Ohio, her brother Donald Gumble Jr./her sister-in-love Deborah of Avon Lake and her sister Gail Bonar of Milwaukee, Wis. She is preceded in death by her loving father Donald Gumble Sr. and her brother David Gumble.

Nancy served our community as a nurse for 30 years. She worked in many departments including the emergency room, float pool, IV therapy and retired from the Short Stay unit at Sacred Heart Hospital. Her heart for others was always apparent, but her work gave her an amazing avenue to truly serve those around her.

The true love in Nancy’s life, though, was her family. She made every holiday special and every day feel as if it were just as special. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and did so as often as she could. Nancy spent many weekends on the sidelines of the games, teaching them how to cook or sew, building puzzles, playing video games, or anything else they asked her to do. She loved camping and recently fulfilled a lifelong dream and took a five-week cross-country trip to visit her family as well as national parks.

Her family and friends celebrated a life well lived at Springfield Memorial Gardens Chapel. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Willamette Valley Cancer Center in her name.
