Steven Dennis Lawson, 61, of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away April 22, 2022. He was 61.
Steven was born Dec. 25, 1960, in El Paso, Texas, to parents James and Rose-Marie (Mueller) Lawson. After graduating high school, Steven took some college courses to become a computer programmer. He worked as a programmer for Alpha Micro Systems, and in the late 1990s he went to work for Jerry Brown Fueling as an Information Technology manager he continued to work until his passing. Steven liked Fiat cars, riding motorcycles with his father and other family members, and target shooting. He and Dixie had a passion for rescuing dogs, especially Boxers. Steven was a funny man who could tell a joke out of any situation with a great sense of humor. He married Dixie Reynolds April 21, 1990 in Anaheim, Calif. They celebrated 32 years of marriage.
Steven is survived by his wife Dixie Lawson of Cottage Grove; father James Lawson of Cottage Grove; son Joshua Lawson of Moore, Okla.; Matthew Lawson of Marysville, Wash.; daughter Tracey Caudell of Creswell; son Dennis Reynolds of Sunbury, N.C.; daughter Sarah Lawson of Williston, N.D.; work daughter Connie Ellis of Junction City; and six grandchildren. Steven is preceded in death by his mother Rose-Marie. There will be no services held at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
