James ‘Jim’ Albert Peters: Oct. 16, 1950 – Dec. 19, 2021

Jim Peters of Pleasant Hill passed away peacefully on Dec. 19 at the age of 71 with his family by his side. He was born in Lowell, Mass. on Oct. 16, 1950. He was one of six children born to Robert A. Peters and Muriel L. Peters.

Jim lived in Billerica, Mass. where he met and married his wife, Linda Antonuk in 1972. They were married for 49 years. In 1975 they decided to move to Oregon. They have lived in Oregon for 47 years and have resided in Pleasant Hill for the last 29.

Jim’s passion for the automobile led him to start his own business “Peters Rod & Custom” for over 40 years. His love of antique and custom cars was well known by many. Car enthusiasts may have seen some of these cars at local cruises or car shows. He also loved hunting in Eastern Oregon with his family and friends.

Jim is survived by his wife Linda and their three children James Jr. of Yuba City, Calif., Jason of Terrebonne, Ore., and Beth of Gresham, Ore. He had six grandchildren. He also leaves behind brothers Bob of Topsham, Maine, Steve of Fort Rock, Ore., and sister Gail Daye of Dexter, Ore.

Thank you to Bristol Hospice for caring for Jim in his final days. At Jim’s request there will be no services.
