Jim ‘James’ Rova: 1942 – Nov. 2, 2021

Jim (James) Rova, born in Minneapolis, Minn. in 1942 and passed away Nov. 2, 2021 in Eugene, Ore. Jim was very active in the community as a member of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Independent Insurance Agent, and as a member of the local Valley Ham Radio Club. His associations as an Insurance Agent connected him with several community events and health fairs to be able to reach out to others. He made friends very easily and shared joy everywhere he went. Jim loved the Lord and shared that love with others regularly. 

He worked with boys in the Royal Ranger Program, helping them with personal growth and stability in the Lord. Jim was a member of Toastmasters International for several years. He was a graduate of San Jose College. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Jim is survived by his wife, Donna of 41 years; 4 Children, Kimberly Bell, Kenneth Rova, Michelle Richard, Michael Rova; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as three sisters.

Jim’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, tennis, working on his boats, camping, sitting by a campfire, playing cards, keeping the yard in top shape, working on projects in the garage and going to garage sales. He would call his children on a regular basis and tell them to have a great day even when they were at work.

Jim’s love for the Lord and helping others will continue in the hearts of all who knew him. He would be honored to have all he touched, continue to pay it forward.

A private family interment was held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany, Ore., in the Veteran Garden, on Nov. 20, which included military honors.A Celebration of Life to honor Jim will be held Dec. 18, 2021 at 1 p.m., at Valley River Life Church in Eugene.
