Patricia Louise Reynolds: Jan. 7, 1937 – Sept. 14, 2021

Patricia was born in Council Bluffs Iowa to Lloyd William and Susie Isadore (Harris) Reynolds. The Family moved to Las Vegas, Nev. in 1939. She and brother William were adopted by Frank and Willie Somerville in 1939 after the parents separated. The Somerville family moved frequently, and Patricia lived in five different States before moving to Oregon in 1954. In December of that year, she and Ruben I. Remington married in John Day, Ore..

Patricia accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior in 1964.

The family lived in Eastern Oregon communities of John Day, Pendleton, Umatilla and Union before moving to Brookings in 1970. Ruben and Patricia divorced in 1989.

She worked at several Brookings Harbor businesses including Harbor Drug, and the Brookings Harbor Vision Clinic. Patricia served as Sunday School Teacher, Missionary President, Sunday School Superintendent, Church Board Member and later Secretary for the Brookings Church on the Nazarene.

In 2005 Patricia retired and moved to Springfield. Then for four years she volunteered at McKenzie Willamette Hospital. From 2012-16 as the events coordinator for the Springfield Army National Guard families. Patricia was a lover of Books and enjoyed crafts and board games. In 2020 with the COVID-19 quarantine at the age of 84 she began painting.

Patricia is survived by son Joseph and his wife Debra of Milwaukie, Ore.; daughter Barbara and her husband Jim, and son Michael all of Brookings; sisters Mary K. Menkus of Chino Hills, Calif. and Peggy Leavitt of Kanab, Utah; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by sister Mary Ann Lambeth, brother Lloyd Simpson, son James Remington, and daughter Catharine Seymour.

A memorial service was held on Oct. 28.
