Judy Bloom was born Feb. 29, 1944, in Monterey Calif. to Bill and Evelyn Mercer.
After making their home in Oregon, Judy was part of the first graduation class at Thurston High School. After high school, she attended beauty college and began her lifelong career as a hairdresser.
She married Bob Lange and they had two children, Tifany and Tony. Bob and Judy would later divorce. Judy married Dennis Bloom in July of 2000 where she inherited two bonus daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren.
After retiring, Judy spent a lot of time volunteering at Peace Health Hospital, she loved every minute of it. Judy enjoyed crafting, making greeting cards, playing bunco, baking with her grandchildren and any family time she could get.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Evelyn and her sister Jackie.
Judy leaves behind her husband Dennis; her children Tifany, Tony, Dawn, Kirby, Darci and Jim; her brother Bill; her grandchildren Sarah, Andrew, Jessica, Eliseo, Avery, Maddison and Caden; and her great-grandchildren Selah, Andrew-Mark, Arran and Fiona who will be making her debut shortly.
She also leaves behind a countless number of family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will take place Sunday, Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Eugene.
