Connie Jean Merrell, 86, of Springfield passed away on July 8, 2021. She was born Oct. 3, 1934 to John and Huldina (Bach) Murr in Benton Harbor, Mich.
Connie enjoyed traveling, roller skating and cooking. She was involved with a healing ministry group.
She is survived by her second husband, William Fisher; daughters, Robin Sanders, Shawn Merrell, Shannon Jones; sons, Scott and Steve Merrell; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Murr; and sister, Michelle Berthiaume. She is preceded in death by her first husband.
A celebration of life was on Aug. 14 at City of Destiny Church, 2065 Centennial Boulevard in Springfield.
