CRESWELL – Wise Woman Herbals, an all-natural herbal and botanical supplements company, is looking to expand its footprint in Creswell. In fact, one might say the proposed growth is Bigfoot-sized.
The landowners of 1.5-acre parcell between Cloverdale and Melton are seeking approval to build a 21,200-sq ft. facility that could house a portion of operations for Wise Woman Herbals and Earth Lab Botanicals.
The request will be addressed at the Creswell Planning Commission hearing on Thursday, July 15, at 5 p.m. Residents can join the public meeting via a YouTube link on the city’s website.
Keeping Wise Woman Herbals in Creswell “was the primary objective of our discussions with the property owners,” said Maddie Phillips, Creswell’s city planner.
The public hearing is specifically for case no. SR-2021-03, a site design review request initiated by Geomax Engineering, on behalf of MALK, owner, to construct an approximately 21,200-sq ft. closed manufacturing facility on tax lot 1200 at Assessor’s Map 19-03-13-23.
The property is zoned General Commercial by the Creswell Zoning Map and is identified as Commercial by the Creswell Comprehensive Land Use Diagram. The site is vacant.
Wise Woman Herbals is the largest employer in Creswell for more than 20 years. Founded in 1989, Wise Woman Herbals began as a home-based business of Dr. Sharol Tilgner, and has grown over the past 30 years to employ more than 50 local employees in four buildings throughout Creswell. It provides econo ic growth for small local farmers and wild crafters, as well as the growth of its hometown community.
