Mary Cox: Nov. 8, 1952 – May 10, 2021

Wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all, Mary Cox, born Nov. 8, 1952, as Mary Ruth Crank in San Luis Obisbo, Calif., to parents Alden and June Crank, passed away May 10, 2021 at the age of 68, at her home in Lowell, Ore., surrounded by family who love her dearly.

Mary attended Righetti High, as well as Arroyo Grande High School where she graduated at the top of her class, and found her passion for basketball.

Originally, Mary wanted to go into the dental field, but settled on real estate as a career, where she yet again exceeded all expectations and became one of the top sellers in the state in which she lived. Neal and Mary got married in 1971, making her Mary Cox immediately and a mother of two, only two short years later.

Matthew, her son, came first, and then her daughter, Kerry. In 1996, Mary was blessed with her very first grandchild, Tyler, of whom she had a large part in raising.

Mary is survived by husband of 50 years, Neal; son, Matthew, 49; daughter, Kerry, 47; grandchildren Tyler, 24, Colton, 22, Emily, 19, Addisyn, 16; sisters Susan, Vickey, Konnie, and Kandi; granddaughter-in-law, Makayla, 20; adopted family Heather and Moe, their beloved children Caris, and Lizzy; as well as the many people whose lives she changed and hearts she touched.

Mary was one of the kindest souls to walk this earth, each and everyone who knew Mary felt blessed to have been a part of her life. We would like to extend our thanks to those who work in Hospice for keeping Mary as comfortable as possible.

We would also like to thank chaplain Wileslie for comforting, and most importantly guiding us through this dark time. We love you Mary, please rest in peace.
