Marjory Gossler, 92, passed away on May 10, 2021 of age-related causes. Marj was a mother of five children and lived in the Thurston area of Springfield, Ore. since 1952.
She grew up in Rogue River, Ore. and graduated from Rogue River High School before attending Willamette University and majoring in physical education. She taught physical education at Springfield High School in the early 1950s before marrying and farming in the Thurston area for the remainder of her life.
Marj loved to golf, her proudest moment was her first hole-in-one when she was 80 years old. She also took up bowling in her 70s and loved her league nights with friends. She grew up fishing on the Rogue River as a child and had her own boat at the age of 12. She was always willing to go on fishing adventures including trips to Alaska and the Queen Charlotte Islands in Canada.
She will be missed by her family and friends.
