Allen Gene May, 81, was born at Sacred Heart Hospital June 30, 1939 in Eugene, Ore. to parents Dennis L. and Doris H. May. He had one brother, Kenneth L. May of Albany, Ore.
He was raised at West Boundary Ranger Station, east of Lowell, and then in Lowell where he graduated from high school in 1957. He served in the Oregon National Guard for six years. He worked his entire career in the U.S. Forest Service in the Willamette National Forest.
Allen married Pat Miller in July 1962 and was two months shy of their 59th anniversary. They have two sons, Todd (Kathleen) of Springfield and Tom of Eugene. Allen is survived by his wife, two sons, and brother Ken May, and two grandsons Matthew and David May.
