Thomas (Tom) W. Metsker passed away from cancer on April 26, 2021, in Creswell, Ore. at the age of 60. He was born January 10, 1961 in Eugene, Ore. to William H. Metsker and Leona M. Robinett Bryant. Although Tom lived in many places, Creswell was his home. He loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. He especially enjoyed the time he spent fishing in Alaska with his two nephews, Joe Slaven and Jake Slaven, and his niece, Michaelyn Slaven Cole. Tom had two sisters, Teresa Metsker Slaven and Rose Mave Metsker Vance, and one brother, Michael Cardwell. He had two other nieces, Linda Cardwell and Lisa Vance, and two other nephews, Cory Vance and Ryan Vance. A memorial gathering for Tom will be held May 22, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Holt Park in Creswell. Andreason’s in Springfield is in charge of arrangements. Throughout Tom’s life, he asked for so little and gave so very much. Most of all, he loved his family and friends.
