Robert Nathan Rowlett, 97, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away on April 26, 2021 from congestive heart failure. He was born on April 14, 1924 in Ainsworth, Neb. to parents Leslie and May (Bruce) Rowlett. Robert was a truck driver for more than 30 years for Murphy Logging Company. He married Connie Shepard in Reno, Nev. on Dec. 26, 1970. Robert enjoyed gardening both flowers and vegetables, feeding backyard birds and chipmunks. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Connie Rowlett, Cottage Grove; daughter Sandy Daubert and husband Craig, Pahrump, Nev.; son Nathan Rowlett and wife Jeanne, Mill City, Ore.; son Dan Rowlett and wife Janet, Coos Bay, Ore.; sisters Lois Starr, Camarillo, Calif. and Mary Kelly, Kansas City, Mo; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Pamela Rowlett.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 5 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Maintenance or the Humane Society of Cottage Grove.
